Pani Puri
Do whole food plant based Vegan’s enjoy pani puri WITHOUT A DROP OF OIL….Of course they do!!!…Ands it’s so yummy and delish that you will definitely not want to eat the unhealthy roadside stuff…today’s evening snack was pani puri served with steamed mung sprouts, potato and onion. The pani was made with homemade pani puri masala paste and this is how my family enjoys it- sweet, sour, spicy all in one….
The puris are oil free…oven baked without a drop of oil..I have given a picture below just spread them on a baking tray in a single layer and bake at 180C for 5-7 mins…puris are ready..
Recipe for the Pani (in Pani Puri)
- 1/2 bunch mint
- 1/2 inch piece ginger
- 1/2 bunch coriander leaves
- 1-2 green chillies
- 1 inch ball tamarind, deseeded
- 1/4 cup date paste
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp jeera powder
- Chat masala as per taste
- Rock salt to taste
- Add all the ingredients to a grinder and grind to a smooth paste.
- Add this paste to 1 litre chilled water and adjust the seasoning.
- Serve chilled with puris along with steamed sprouted moong, finely chopped onion and steamed mashed potato.
