Madhura adopted a plant – based diet after a personal episode of stroke and to help control her husband’s cholesterol and prediabetic condition. As she sought to rebuild her health and that of her husband’s, she came across a  documentary, ‘Forkes over Knives’, which convinced her that a  plant – based diet is the solution to the health issues they faced.  Overnight, they restocked the kitchen with  organic fruits , vegetables, whole grains , pulses , beans and nuts. She found that embracing a whole food diet vastly improved not only her health, but also normalized her husband’s cholesterol levels. Also, he wasn’t prediabetic anymore!
