Gluten Free Pizza With Buckwheat Crust
This recipe is from Jinali, our very super talented intern-
When you are part of The Gratitude Kitchen you come across some gluten free bakes (that taste amazing by the way) and you come to learn about all kinds of flours that go in our cakes – right from banana flour to buckwheat flour! The baker in me was inspired and wanted to bake something delicious with buckwheat flour ! So here are some buckwheat pizzas – For all the Pizza lovers out there!
For the buckwheat crust
- 1 cup buckwheat flour
- 4 tbsp flax meal
- 1/4 cup warm water
- Salt to taste
- Mix the buckwheat flour, salt and flax meal and then with help of very little warm water start binding the dough.
- Once your dough binds well do not add any more water(the dough will be stiff ) and start kneading the dough well.
- After some kneading (around 5 minutes )you will find the dough much softer than the one you started out with.
- Roll out thin crusts with the dough, fork it and bake in 180 degree Celsius preheated oven for 10 minutes approximately.
- If you are planning to make pizzas later ,take out the crusts , let them cool on a wire rack and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until you make your pizzas. And if you are having them right away proceed with your favourite sauce and favourite toppings and bake the pizzas again for 15-20 minutes ! Enjoy !
